Harriet's House

I’ve been going to Put-in-Bay for over 20 years, and Harriet’s House is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed as a couple. The rooms are very clean, updated, and thoughtfully designed. It’s in the perfect location and walking distance to all the main pools and attractions on the island.|On our most recent visit, they surprised us with an upgrade to a larger room that included a kitchenette and two beds. It was amazing! The family who owns Harriet’s House is on-site, friendly, and always available if you need anything.|We usually stay there once or twice each summer for weekend getaways, and every time is a great experience. Highly recommend!

Harriet’s House is the best place to stay on the island. It is family owned, super clean and close to downtown. They have everything you need! I truly appreciate their thought and care towards all the details! The owners are helpful and kind. They rent golf carts, make recommendations, and take such good care of their property. They are constantly updating things and making sure you are so happy! Enjoy your vacation with the amenities of home!

I write this review acknowledging it is difficult to separate our stay at Harriet's House from our overall experience in P-i-B. Both, however, were fairly disappointing! |We traveled to South Bass Island for our 45th wedding anniversary. It had been 30 years since we had been there, when we camped, and my husband wanted to be on the islands again. We should have skipped P-i-B and just gone to Kelley's, truthfully. ||We chose Harriet's House as it appeared to be centrally located, economical, and had high ratings. We chose the "romantic basement bungalow for 2." Well, it definitely was in the basement and only had room for 2. Was it romantic or a bungalow? NO!! It's situated right near all the key attractions, making it easy to explore the area without any hassle. The pools, located just behind the property, are a fantastic perk. Harriet’s House is hands down the BEST place to stay on the island! Extremely clean, comfortable beds, & a top notch staff! Tiffany was amazingly kind when we checked in! We stayed in one of the spacious townhouses for my birthday weekend. It was the perfect location & we were able to walk to all of the shops & restaurants that we wanted to visit. I HIGHLY recommend!
