Comfort Suites Woodstock - Atlanta North

Hello, I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing to let you know about a cleanliness issue I experienced during my stay at Comfort Suites Woodstock, GA. I checked in on December 23, 2025 and I’m staying until December 30, 2025. While staying in room 212, I found a live cockroach in the room. I reported this to the front desk at the time. I understand that things like this can happen occasionally, but it was uncomfortable and affected my stay, so I wanted to make sure the issue is properly documented. Positive: Connivence of location. Check in was painless. Negative: Rooms are dated, much needed overhaul of the whole facility. Carpets were stained, tub had rust in and around the drain. And a white blob of ? was left in the drain. Lady at check out was very rude. More concerned about not touching the room keys!

The room was spacious but very dated. The linens were soft and comfortable but the mattresses themselves needed replaced or at least rotated. The bath tub was very obviously dirty and we called the front desk for it to be cleaned but bc it was after dinner the cleaning staff had gone and so the poor desk person had to clean herself (she took pictures of the condition). The hot continental breakfast was not good and cold (there were no sterno under the chafing dishes to keep warm. The staff was friendly and the location was good.

I recently stayed here & saw why the hotel had a high rating on Travelocity. The room was good-sized, clean, and had a very comfortable bed which my back greatly appreciated. The breakfast was simple but offered a variety of nutritious foods. I’ll happily stay here again. Only a few things I’d change: get some firmer pillows, and extend the shower head just a couple more inches away from the shower wall. Those would be welcome improvements.

I stay here every time I visit my Mother who lives in Acworth. This trip I was definitely disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the building itself. The breakfast was also not like it used to be. The muffins were mushy (appeared to be defrosted), bananas were not ripe and the hot items didn’t seem fresh. I’ve stayed about 5 or 6 times over the years but this trip made me think to try another hotel next time, even if a little more expensive. One positive..the front desk staff is always super friendly and helpful.
