Comfort Suites University Drive

Not a great experience. You are greeted at the front door with a sign saying the fire alert system isn’t working. The Elevator is broken, the hotel is definitely showing its age, there were several tripping hazards where the floor looks to be in the middle of updating. Our bathtub looked like it had been worked on by my sister’s kids, which made sense when I rang for help at the front desk and had the person assigned to the front desk come running down the hall because she was doubling as the maintenance man’s helper….who by the way was working on the side doors. I had a reservation at a different Comfort Suites for later in the month and promptly canceled it.

Shirley was nice. The elevator was broken so she offered a first floor. My room was clean aside from RR floor. I was very Uneasy though about the side door near pool being broken. It does not lock. It's not secure and anybody can just walk in. Front desk girl on duty Sunday 3/1/ evening after 5pm was basically like yea. It's been broken and went back to watching her show.. The price is good but for safety I'll look somewhere else for the rest of the month as I have to travel there for wk.

Overall, pretty good. This Comfort Suites is definitely showing some age. The Front Desk staff was fine. Breakfast was less than expected. Our room was large, the bed was low, but it was probably that way because it was a handicapped room. The mattress was firm, but comfortable. The room temperature could be adjusted with the thermostat. Parking close to the hotel entrance was available.

Most everything was great. Just one big observation--your luggage carts are in need of major overhaul. When I lightly suggested this to the front desk manager, there was absolutely no reply. We will be back, but it would be great to have a luggage cart that moves without manhandling!

HORRIBLE HOTEL. Upon arrival & entering our room it smelled of urine & there were roaches in the restroom. I immediately requested a checkout and was told that because reservation was made through Priceline & fully paid there was nothing front desk could do. Gentleman (hotel owner) pretended to be the manager & said he did not have codes to approve an early checkout and refund. It was an overall very bad experience. We left hotel without refund & will NEVER MAKE RESERVATIONS at a Comfort Suites or through PRICELINE.
