Comfort Suites Scottsdale @ Talking Stick

Room was nice, service was great. Location was quiet with easy parking and decent provided toiletries. Didn't get up in time for breakfast but it sounded good. Staff was great they had cookies when we checked in. Strategically located in the same parking lot as a mini golf/restaurant/bar with kids playground. And not associated but staff recommended and recommendation was on point kept our toddler happy and we didn't have to drive with cocktails.

Front desk receptionist was very nice, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our room. From the bed to the bathroom, everything was comforting and clean. Breakfast was delicious as well! Love that there is now a mini golf entertainment and food just right across the parking lot. Will stay here in the future again.

Positive: Room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Hot coffee with real cream. Good breakfast selection. Central location for our trip. Negative: Low water pressure in shower. Low quality paper products. Low quality toiletries. Low quality sheets and bedding. AC/heater was noisy. Cookies were always overbaked.

We stayed for 2 weeks. The front desk and breakfast staff were all incredibly nice. The breakfast was decent and what you normally see from complimentary hotel breakfasts. The location is great (if you ignore the annoying Pop Stroke next door). Lots of touristy attractions close by. The cleanliness should be improved. The floor didn’t appear to be vacuumed very well when we got there. The cleaning service during our stay wasn’t great. The floor wasn’t vacuumed when it should have been. The bed sheets were not changed much. They say they replace the sheets every three days, but I’m not convinced they do. I marked one of the sheets and they just made the bed.

Horrible experience. First room stank of mold and the shower, best described as a locker room stall, was filthy. Someone had left the window open to presumably help with the smell. Second room had gouge in wall, torn carpet, and dirty tub. Bed was comfortable. My travel plans changed, so I checked out after first night - they still charged me for the second night. Change was beyond my control, and I've never had a hotel charge me for checking out early. I didn't expect even a 3 start experience, but this was terrible. Stay at the Staybridge next door - a much better facility and stay for a similar price.
