Comfort Inn Sunnyvale - Silicon Valley

This property is in noticeable disrepair, from basic maintenance to cleanliness. The room door technically unlocked with the key card, but the handle would not open unless the lever was lifted upward at just the right moment — something I had to figure out on my own. The window latch in the room was broken, so there was no way to ensure the window stayed closed.||||Cleanliness was also an issue. The chair in the room was severely stained, and there were long hairs on the vanity surface and in the towels, which was especially off-putting.||||I was fortunate that this was only a one-night stay. Based on the condition of the room and the lack of basic upkeep, I would not choose to stay here again.

Service, breakfast, and cleanliness were good overall. However, the breakfast buffet had no halal options, which was disappointing. The elevator also felt very old and not entirely safe. Other than these issues, the hotel offers good value for money.

The hot breakfast was very much appreciated. May I suggest adding hot chocolate and/ or Herbal tea? These would add to the pleasant experience. In the room, we needed more drawers for 3 people. We did not use the armchair. May I suggest another side table with drawers instead? In the sink area, it would be nice to have at least one towel bar and also one in the bathroom. Good room but DO NOT stay here if you have a crew cab truck they will charge you for parking as if you’re a large semi tractor trailer. Stayed in hundreds of hotel and never had one charge me for being a “4 door truck” absolutely ridiculous. The manager or who ever at the front will try and make sense of it by telling you they charge all “trucks” $20 dollars even if there is nothing going on and an empty parking lot.

Wonderful breakfasts each morning. Our TV remote control did NOT work and the desk clerk was unable or unwilling to help. The hotel is new, and while the rooms are small, they are very clean and well maintained. The staff except for the singularly inept desk clerk are very pleasant and accommodating. Both my husband and I are mobility impaired but have very little trouble getting around the hotel.
