Comfort Inn & Suites Harrisburg - Hershey West

Choosing this hotel was a big mistake!!!! My husband and I wanted to take our grandsons to the farm show while saving some money. We decided to book this hotel for 2 nights using points for one of them and paying for the other. When entering our room, Strike one: our door did not swing without resistance. There was a hump in the floor. Strike 2: the front of the air conditioner fell off when my grandson bumped into it. I went to the front desk to inform them and they were completely aware of this saying maintenance wasn’t around to fix this. I’m sure it was like this for sometime and knowingly put my grandson in harms way. strike 3: blood stains on the bed. I rarely give a 10 rating. This is our 2nd year staying at this hotel. We talk with the manager/owner while we have breakfast. He is very friendly and accommodating. It is a pleasure to stay here. Despite the 2" of snow he ordered for our departure. For our future fall travel south I intend to schedule our trip so we stay here the 1st night. I may even try to stay here on my trip north in the spring. Even though I've stayed at the same Comfort Inn in the Wilkesboro/Scranton area the past 3 years. Being close to home may be the deciding factor.

The best part of this hotel is the General Manager Vinay. He really is kind and goes out of his way to accommodate guests. The rooms are clean and spacious with nice decor. Jay at the front desk was kind as well. This is our 2nd time staying at this Comfort Inn and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you again to Vinay for making our trip so special. This was a decent hotel, I was a little surprised how small it was compared to other comfort inns. We had a couple of complaints. First, are toilet wouldn't flush in the water was turned off and I don't know why. Second there was no shampoo in the room. In the shower there are bottles of body wash and conditioner but no shampoo. Other than that or stay was pretty good. We had breakfast and they do have hot breakfast, but the eggs were really bland and I'm pretty sure they were not real eggs. They also seem low on food and only filled up a few items with the bare minimum even though it wasn't near the end of breakfast. On the plus side it was less expensive than most other comfort inns I've seen.

I usually never write Bad reviews, tho I don’t want anyone to have to deal with what I dealt with. There’s holes and cracks in the walls and ceilings. Every room has this. I had to change room three different times because the heat wasn’t working in the first room. The hot water didn’t work in the second room. Every room had cracks and holes in the walls and ceiling. There is mold and rust in the bathrooms Breakfast was bagels and cereal only with warm juice. The bathroom light was a strobe party with the flashing light that he told me couldn’t be fixed There’s no housekeeping for some odd reason if you needed something you had to go down to the front desk and get it. The young guy at the front desk is not people friendly at all and he’s there both mornings and nights. I would never
