Comfort Inn & Suites Greenville Near East Carolina University

I had a very uncomfortable experience at this location. I was briefly stopped outside and did not initially see a “No Parking” sign, which I understand. The General Manager, Paul Banta, approached and touched my car while I was inside instead of politely asking me to move. His tone was rude and confrontational, and when I calmly asked to be spoken to respectfully, the situation escalated rather than being handled professionally. When I asked for his name, staff were hesitant, and he initially refused to provide it, saying it “wasn’t important.” I was later told I was trespassing while I was already leaving. Guests should never feel intimidated or unsafe during a simple interaction. Policies can be enforced without touching a guest’s property or escalating unnecessarily. Very disappointi

I've stayed at this location several times now, but I never gave a review. Out of the 6 or 7 times I've stayed here, this review is consistent with each stay. Staff is outstanding and always nice and helpful. The whole place is always clean and quiet. Room are nice, with alot of light. Some hotels lack lighting throughout the room. The breakfast is always plentiful and hot. Nice clean indoor pool. Really nice gym area. Location is in center of Greenville. Plenty of restaurants within a 3 mile stretch. Cracker Barrel and Texas Roadhouse within walking distance.

Late night staff was awesome. He tried to help in many ways but couldn’t do anything about me arriving early. I even tried just purchasing the extra night. He told me to wait until the manager (owner) came and he was terrible not even allow check in 1 hour before 3. I arrived at 4am I had to just sit around until 3 pm. I was willing to pay an early check in fee. There are hotels in the area that will allow early check in. If u need early check in this hotel is not for u. Management was not helpful at all. Unfortunately I couldn’t cancel reservation because it was the day of. I will not be returning here.

Staff was spectacular from minute ONE!!! Kristan Kluase made the stay a GAINT!!! My wife and I stay here everything we come into town we were here this time on 7/9/2025. A few years ago our 1st experience was when the hotel was under renovation.. I had a mtg to attend I did not have a decent bck ground. The Staff jumped i to action and made it happen!!!

We stayed there 2 months ago. The staff were super friendly. The included hot breakfast was better than average and the hostess was outstanding. She kept everything filled and clean. When we got home, we realized my son lost his wallet. We had no idea where. The hotel staff called and said it was found and they worked with us to have it returned several states away. Not only did he get his wallet back with every last dollar intact, they sent a cute note along with it. Their honesty, hospitality and professionalism is a breath of fresh air in the world we live in today. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, I highly recommend them. 5 stars plus to all of the staff we dealt with! Thank you!!
