Comfort Inn Monterey Peninsula Airport

Loved this hotel; we stayed last night, before our flight out from the Monterey Airport this morning. It's a 5 minute walk to the airport (where there's a wonderful restaurant called Woody's where we had a meal the night before--it's before security so anyone can go there). Back to the hotel: clean, large rooms. Nice balcony. Seemed almost new. Outside is a beautiful setting of trees and flowers. Reasonably priced for a luxurious feeling. Breakfast was fine; just pretty much a standard breakfast: cold cereal, yogurt, toast or rolls, yogurt, eggs, sausage, waffles. Would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

Hotel is aging and a bit dank. Front staff was humorless on check in and would not even make eye contact on check out. They sit so low behind the front desk and computer screen that, at first, I didn’t even see them on check in and they clearly didn’t see me when I dropped of the key, tho I tried to say a pleasantry. I am sure what ever it was that they were doing down there was more important than me. Room was large but needed better seating. A love seat at the foot of the bed would have been ideal. Dark, sticky, small stains various places on carpet. Bathroom layout was very good - dual sinks, good mirrors, good lighting. Dead bugs on shower stall ceiling. Toilet flushed with the power of Odin! I've stayed at this specific location before. It literally next door to the airport and right by the highway so the location is very convenient for whatever part of Monterey County you need to get to. Room was clean. Staff friendly. There was only on thing that I experienced that has never happened before: I called the day before asking for a possible early check-in as my plans had changed a bit. Please keep in mind I have had early check-ins where I didn't even know I'd need one and just show up, and there was a room ready. That said, I was told that I could check in early but it would cost me an extra $50. Having had and seen others get early check-ins between 1-1:30 PM is not a rare thing, and usually not a big ask if within reason. I do know sometimes a hotel is filled to the max, so a

Came here in July and it was such a good stay we came back again in December. Been coming to Monterey for years and just stumbled upon this place last minute. Great location and clean rooms. Nothing fancy but a great quiet, clean place to stay. Front desk super kind upon check in and very accommodating. Thank you Comfort Inn.

This place is horrible, we give it zero stars. This place was not only unaccommodating for our disabled toddler but the staff was unpleasant, had no empathy and would rather not refund us $100 when they gave us a dangerous room for our autistic child. A room where the windows had no screens and easy access where my child could fall out. The noise of planes and cars was unbearable we literally got no sleep the first night. So bad the second day we left during our stay even tho we paid, they would not refund us the 2nd night and so we also paid to stay at Mariposa inn and suites which was wonderful. These people should be ashamed of themselves. They also did not give us the room we reserved which stated it had a balcony and showed pictures of the balcony. They said if we wanted a balcony we
