Comfort Inn Mechanicsburg - Harrisburg South

We have stayed at this Comfort Inn many times as it is close to our daughter's home. We have generally found the hotel beds comfortable, and the rooms clean. We appreciate the price point. However, the hotel has been declining for some time. This visit, the sink in our room failed to drain after my husband shaved on the first morning of our stay. We notified the front desk when we left at 9 am. but the sink was not fixed when we returned at 9 pm. I fixed it in 2 minutes with no tools by reconnecting the clevis strap to the pivot rod. There was no clip available.

From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I felt welcomed! The Christmas lights outside, cookie and hot chocolate available at check in was a nice touch!!! Every staff member I encountered spoke and welcomed me! My 5 year old loved the colored pages! Thank you to general manager Rodney and staff for a perfect stay!!!!

The staff was welcoming and helpful and seemed to care about making our stay enjoyable. The young lady, Jahwavi was especially helpful answering my questions before our first stay there and was nice during both of our stays. Rodney made sure we were happy. All the staff has been nice. Building could use some updating or maintenance in places. Breakfast was good. Price was reasonable for the location.

The front desk staff for the day time and night time hours were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the Christmas decorations and decor in all places in the hotel. Just the fact that my dog could stay in the hotel was wonderful and there was a nice long grassy strip for him. Just an excellent place overall.

The room was fine, bedding was clean, and beds were comfortable. The bathroom had some mold which i believe is because all the fans are so loud so guests are hesitant to turn them on. I called down to complain about the loud vibrating noise coming from across the hall. Low and behold it was because the people had turned on the bathroom fan, but i could hear it in my room at 10pm. Fans are cheap and replacing them would likely alleviate my two complaints. Front desk staff was pleasant and like I said the bedding was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was the standard, but they did have coffee mate vanilla creamer which is always a bonus.
