Comfort Inn Indianapolis North - Carmel

Firstly - their webpage reads "Enjoy the new look and feel of our hotel" - a quote that couldn't be further from the reality I saw. This is a location that is a few years overdue for a remodel. There is no "New Look" here. NONE! So I offer a generous/sympathetic 3 star rating as I believe this hotel is probably in transition. I overheard the front desk advising a customer that the location was changing owners which hopefully justifies the rough condition of the hotel. I have stayed several months in dozens of Comfort Inns and have looked for the name as a preference as they are usually very predictable for service, cleanliness, and comfort. Not here. There were a few dings and bumps in the room. The front desk was super helpful with dealing with a fiasco. Cute gazebo in a small park like setting, trees blowing autumn colored leaves everywhere. Located near a couple of exits. The roundabouts are a bit of a nightmare to deal with. Close to food and gas stations. One end of the hall to the right inside the lobby at the end of the hall you cant get on the wifi down there. Clean beds and towels, helpful staff. Affordable prices for the weary traveler. Would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to staying again.

The hotel was okay. There was water damage in our room and I’ve had better breakfasts. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were accommodating. Our stay was good. We would stay there again

This hotel is severely misrepresented online. The photos posted do not reflect the actual condition of the property at all. In reality, the room was filthy and unsanitary. From the strong odor to the dirty walls and visibly unclean shower head, the conditions were unacceptable. I could not even bring myself to shower in the room.||I am four months pregnant, which made the situation even more concerning. Due to the condition of the bathroom, I had to go to the Hilton Garden Inn, where a friend was staying, just to shower.||We were in town for a wedding that my husband was a part of. We arrived Friday around 3:30pm, and immediately had to rush to get ready for the rehearsal, followed by the wedding the next day. All though the staff was polite and helpful the hotel was not well kept at all. First room we had the handle to flush the toilet was broken off. Second room bathroom door didn't shut properly and often popped open. The shower didn't drain, so you were standing in ankle deep water while showering. Breakfast sausage was cold even through in a warmer and eggs were clearly powdered eggs and tasted terrible. Elevator was also broke all weekend
