Comfort Inn Garner Clayton I-40

staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. My only concern was that the coffee served at the complimentary breakfast was ALWAYS almost cold - at best it was barely warm. But never hot. And no microwave in the breakfast area (which would have enabled me to heat up the cold coffee).

The motel is conveniently located near hwy 40. The breakfast area is clean. The breakfast is good, but not the best. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The motel is used by contractors for their stay. There is plenty of parking. The staff are friendly.

The hotel was terrible. The paint job was terrible. All metal fixtures were rusted in the bathroom and in the main room area. The white towels had obvious stains on them. The AC cover was broken and on the floor. The breakfast was lackluster. The person at the front desk was discussing her political views with a guest at the counter. The next room was having loud sex at all times of the day and night so I was unable to sleep. I informed the front desk about the sex noises and she mentioned it to the guests. I was supposed to be staying for three nights, but the person at the front desk informed me that the guests in the next room had extended their stay and I did not want to continue to hear their sex noises. The staff was friendly & helpful, however my fitted sheet on the bed had holes in it. It was very challenging to iron my clothes because the iron was attached to the ironing board. The eggs were gritty in my mouth. It did not taste like real eggs.

Positive: The check in area was very clean and te breakfast / lounge area was easy to find as opposed to other chains. Negative: The $50 charge to my card that has neither hit my bank nor been reimbursed and was never clearly identified on the website or notated at the facility. It was only mentioned during the closing screens of the check in process as a mandatory step.
