Comfort Inn Arcata-Humboldt Area

Visiting Arcata recently with my college- attending child, I needed a place to stay. Arcata is a small city, and there are not many lodging options, and I wasn’t looking for anything elaborate, anyway. A hotel that provided what I needed for a fair price is the Comfort Inn Arcata. ||This hotel is small, with 49 rooms, and it’s situated close to highway 101, just minutes from the airport and Cal-Poly Humboldt. The hotel offers free breakfast and it does manage to pull off a few amenities you wouldn’t expect for a hotel of this small size, like an indoor pool and fitness room. If you get hungry or thirsty, they have drinks and snacks for sale onsite. There is no restaurant or bar, but the location is a short walk away from a handful of eateries. Hotel is clean, there aren't visible unhoused people in the area - I felt safe. However, the coffee is terrible, and there were few breakfast items available for those with Gluten Allergies. Since the sausage and potatoes appeared to be covered in flour, I couldn't trust the eggs either. Please consider having gluten friendly items, or marking the buffet with the top 8 allergen ingredients.

The bed was comfortable. The towels were new and soft. Breakfast was the worst that I've been to during my 2 week road trip. Dirty tables. Good not fresh or being replaced. No half decent options. Even the yogurt was disgusting. The girl who was working breakfast was sitting at a table on her phone.

Our family of 6 had a comfortable stay for two nights. Was inexpensive, pool and hot tubs was nice, quiet room at the end of the hall. It kind of smelled funny in the room. Overall we were satisfied and would probably stay again.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. They had a great breakfast. Pretty standard but we loved it. Waffles. Pastries. Fruit, cereal,milk, yogurt. Sausage, potatoes, eggs. Coffee and juices. Pool and hot tub were suitable. Very affordable and we had a great stay.
