Best Western Arcata Inn

Good vibes as soon as i entered the lobby. Ian was super nice and friendly. Room was spacious. Bathroom could use a little updating. Even though our daughter wasn’t staying with us (she lives on campus at CalPolyH) she was welcome to join us in the morning for breakfast. Speaking of which.. I would say the breakfast was far better than the ones I’ve had at other hotels. Make your own waffles guarantees HOT waffles. The biscuits and gravy was good There is yogurt, string cheese, fruit. Bagels cream cheese muffins all toast you own p-butter jellies oatmeal Can’t say enough about everything was great. You can enter the breakfast room anytime and get a coffee, tea or juice and anything that may still be in mini fridge

Enjoyed spending a few nights here with my family. Eli at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Top notch customer service! Breakfast area was immaculate and food options rotated from day to day with a nice selection of hot dishes along with other breakfast staples (including granola/snack bars). We loved the afternoon cookies that staff put out for guests. Hot tub/pool area is great as the half enclosed/half open air keeps the air fresh. Room was spacious and comfortable. Shower/toilet area is a little dated, but the rest of the room was well kept. Housekeeping is only provided by request.

The staff and service at this hotel were great. I really appreciate it them and what they try to do. My only complaint was the carpet was a little bit dirty in the room. And there seems to be a lot of homelessness in the neighborhood of this hotel and the ones near it. That's not something they can help and in fact they're being compassionate I think with the people which I think is great. But it does make you feel a little unsafe at times.

Attention: In Arcata California at Best Western ,Their is a 200 deposit requirement to check into your room after having made a reservation and the customer wont get it ba k for up to 4 days. . | So we had a hotel Voucher from a booking that was messed up by bookings .com customer service agent . So we went and booked a room at Arcata Best Western . We paid for it using the vochure and when we got there, we were told we had to have a 200 dollar deposit on a debit card. That this deposit would take 3 or 4 days to get back. This was nowhere on their website otherwise i would not have booked it. Therefore we did not get to stay at this hotel . The next morning I get a message saying thank you for your stay as if we had stayed there . What kind of hotel sends a thank you for staying there

Clean, well kept, friendly. It’s not a luxury hotel, it’s where you stay while you do other things or go other places. The showers are unusual, in that they are easy to operate and the shower heads are up very high, which is a bonus for tall people.
