Colonial Inn

We could not find a place to stay Columbus Day weekend. Called Tom and worked out a fantastic stay. Price beat everything we called. Fantastic sunset and right in town. Funniest part is he gives not one plug nickel about reviews. You enjoy the stay or you don’t. Thanks Tom

This is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking to stay in an old mansion. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet. It's close to most of everything in Gloucester. An easy 5 minute walk to a local beach and lots of little history around. I'll definitely be back to stay here when I'm looking for a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

The Inn is old but has a lot charm. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The front porch was delightful to sit on at night after sightseeing all day. Tom, the owner, is a great host and very friendly. I’d definitely stay here again

We only stayed here for one night but it was perfect. The room was clean and cozy and had a great view. Tom was the highlight of our stay. Tom went above and beyond for us, his generosity was incredible. If we ever find ourselves in the area again we will make sure to stay at the colonial inn. Thank you Tom!

We stayed up at the Colonial Inn for an annual girl's weekend away. Tom was indeed, as mentioned in other reviews, very friendly and accommodating. We had room 6, which was a great size with 2 queen sized beds in it and a private bathroom across the hall (which wasn't an issue at all). We didn't have a view to speak of, since we were on the side of the house, but that was fine as we could just as easily go outside to the expansive porch to take in a limited ocean view that was right across the street. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable (although the bed was a bit firmer than what I am accustomed to). ||||The location was in easy walking distance to the Rocky Neck artist community - where there were also choices to eat. It is not really walking distance to downtown
