We had a truly wonderful stay! The views from our cabin were fabulous even with a nor’easter rolling in — the stormy gray skies only added to the unique experience. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed making it easy to relax, regardless of the weather. What really set the place apart was the staff. Everyone was generous and extremely helpful, especially when it came to honoring the lower rates I found online! They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and stress-free and gave us a free upgrade to a cabin, which was so awesome. The onsite restaurant had great food and cocktails too! Shout out to Kelly for being such a doll and driving us around in her golf cart! Despite the wild weather, we still had a fantastic time. The views were cool and dramati

Great way to celebrate a family event. Dining on property was excellent. Tents were as we expected. RED FLAG: you are next to a huge construction site. Noise was ridiculous. Yes, we knew there would be boat and airline noise but the construction crossed the line. At any price, not worth the trip.

This place is loud. You will hear planes from three major airports departing/landing all night, party boats and music from cruises, and early morning construction. The paper-thin tents offer little respite from the noise and sun. The website evokes a peaceful oasis and an escape to nature; that is unfortunately false advertising. We were up all night. Most of the experiences they claim to offer are available to any visitors of governors island. It’s also extremely overpriced. Take a day trip or go to the restaurant instead - your sleep cycle will thank you.

Had a positive experience during our glamping stay. We camped Sunday to Monday, which seems to be less busy, cheaper, and quieter according to reviews. I think off-peak times are a much different experience. Once you arrive to Governor's Island, you can text the concierge and they will quickly arrive in a golf cart to bring your bags and give you a ride to the grounds. If you have heavy luggage, you’ll want to take advantage of this because it’s a decent walk. They have yard games, hammocks, a bar and restaurant on the grounds. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The food was good, but again…you can only do so much on an island, so don’t be blown away. Friendly staff all around. My only complaint was that I had a lot of mosquito bites at night, but my wife didn’t get bit at all! Overall it

This is such an extraordinary place with kind and courteous staff. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and escorted from the ferry straight to hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable. There were a few small quirks — for example, the bathroom area is separated from the bedroom by partitions that have tiny gaps, so technically someone could see through. But honestly, it didn’t bother us much, because everything else was absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking — both during the day and at night. Our room overlooked the Statue of Liberty, and waking up to see it glowing in the sunrise was truly magical. Dinner was delicious; no complaints there. The prices are on the higher side, but that’s understandable — there aren’t many dining options nearby, especially if you’re not
