Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Harborcreek

Our son is at Penn State Behrend, so this is our go to place to stay. Nice place, easy parking, clean, nice staff. Pillow could be better. Breakfast is adequate, but slightly below typical free hotel breakfasts. Not that it isn't good, just limited and smaller than some. No elevator, but only two floors. I was going to rate it a 3, but staff was so nice, I bumped to a 4.

No fresh air. No elevator. Bad service. The moment I opened the door to the room, there was a strong musty odor. The room had no window that could be opened, so there was no fresh air at all, and the fan didn’t help. I couldn’t fall asleep at night and it actually made it hard for me to breathe. We checked in late on the first night, so I didn’t go to the front desk then. However, since we were staying two nights, I went to the front desk the next morning to ask about changing rooms. They told me I had to contact the manager because only the manager could make that decision. Later that day I called the manager, but she refused, saying all the rooms were the same and that switching rooms would create more housekeeping work. Chose for the location so we could spend time with our grandkids, the indoor pool was a plus for grands and the hvac kept us cozy during the “snowstorm”. 4 in room was a little tight. Good food on breakfast provided by hotel, microwave , small fridge and single serve coffee maker were convenient. Owners provided wonderful service and evening manager was very friendly and provided great hospitality. Definitely staying again when visiting grands.

I loved this place so much I decided to stay 2 nights. I will be looking for this same hotel chain along my travels. I hope that the next location will be just as amazing! It was Very clean, and was in a convenient location. It has a laundry facility, work out room and pool. The parking spots were not confined. There were plenty of towels, washcloths and hand towels. Breakfast was perfect. I was very pleased with the customer service that I received from Martin. He was exceptional!!!! He was so professional, kind and helpful. He dropped what he was doing to answer all of my questions and went above and beyond to make my stay even more comfortable. I hope that he will always be an appreciated and recognized employee there.
