Stayed at Club Wyndham Patriot’s Place with my husband on a weekend getaway. We stayed in a standard suite with king size bed and a small kitchen. The property has basic amenities and a fire pit. They don’t do daily room cleaning like most hotels but the location was great. It’s a 10 to 15 min drive from major attractions, restaurants and shops. Unfortunately we had a couple of cons to our visit. First, we asked if early check-in was possible. The hotel said it was possible but once we arrived we were told our room was in-fact not ready. We checked in and had waited for 45 mins to be given the keys. During our wait we were directed towards a gentleman at another desk who offered a “free gift” that was left for us. We found out that the Club Wyndham Patriot’s Place is a timeshare property
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The buildings and grounds were well maintained. The reception staff were warm and friendly. The check-in process was not too cumbersome. The staff was not overly aggressive with attempting to get you to attend a timeshare meeting. They understood when we said we did not have time for that. That was refreshing. Our room was good. It was a studio unit. The only thing that I would have liked to have had in addition to the amenities in the room would be a washer and dryer. There was also no dishwasher and no dish soap so we had to leave dirty dishes in the sink. Also, the buildings are wooden construction and you could hear the people moving around loudly in the unit above ours. Not the fault of the resort but the heavy footed people above our unit
My family has been coming to Patriots' Place since is was a small child, and they have earned our loyalty over the years, which is why I have continued to go myself as an adult now. The entrance form the main road can be difficult to get to as the sign is much too small, but once on the grounds, the sounds of the traffic and the city fade as you are set further back in a calm and quiet community area. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you are traveling as a group with multiple vehicles as there are limited spaces in front of each unit. Each building, made to look like a cozy townhouse rather than a cold, impersonal hotel really makes the atmosphere of the stay more homey and comfortable. The beds are like giant clouds that will call you to sleep and be hard to drag yourself from c
Overall rooms were dated, but clean and an adequate. However, we had a very frustrating experience with check in that warrants a one star review. As part of the check in process, the reception staff sent us over to a separate concierge stand near the front "to complete check in". Apparently, as I now realize, this concierge was actually where they sell you on a tour experience to try to sell you membership in the Wyndham Club. They started by telling us they had a deal for us and how much of a credit we could get to a future vacation. Then they said we just had to go to a tour a couple days later to get the deal. Okay fine, we were exhausted and just trying to finish up things so we could get to our room. As we were finishing the process, the employee also mentioned this tour was 90 minut
Two things that make this a 4 star and not a 5 are 2 step check in and the antiquated computer system that forces you to check in for each week on a multi-week exchange stay. BOTH Club Wyndham corporate policies that really have nothing to do with the location. I LOVE Club Wyndham's but DETEST having to go to a timeshare pusher they call the Concierge to get my room key. How rude after a long day's drive and STILL needing to unpack and settle to PUSH you through an annoying 2 step process. No matter how nice the person at the 2nd step is the 2nd step ruins not only your check in but has the potential to taint the whole stay. Again not the concierges fault but the way the system is designed. Then if agree to the presentation, katy bar the door! I guess if you choose to stay at w
