Clarks Beach Motel

Woman was very rude. Not accommodating. Here presents at the front door is colder than the air temp. Went to another hotel and they said it a normal atmosphere from her and I didnt even have to say the name of this hotel. People like her should be in place that deal with customers. If I could give her a zero I would. Just think if you would be nicer to people you wouldn't have a vacancies. Your attitude at the front desk is what makes the place.

The carpet in the room were extremely dirty. Ants in the bathroom and door would not closed. Indoor pool was very cold.|Bathroom was horrid and bathroom seat appeared to be made for a child.|We complained to the owner's and would do nothing with regard to any refund.

We always have a great time staying and snowmobiling in Old Forge! Very accommodating for us with late arrivals, The owners always keep complimentary trailer parking lot well plowed. They recently shipped my glasses home after I forgot them on our last snowmobile trip! Are there “nicer” and “newer” hotels? For sure, but I’ve never received this kind of family owned honest service anywhere else! -Ethan

We went upon black Friday to see the Christmas parade so the price was high. $179. Room was adequate. 2 double beds quite uncomfortable. The toilet was not cleaned. Probably will not return

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at Clark's Beach Motel and our recommendation is to avoid it. The rating of 1 1/2 stars on Yelp speaks for itself and I should have known better. My husband had several bites (total of 20+ bites, see photos) appear a short while after each time he slept on our bed. I did not get bitten; however different individuals can experience different immune reactions after being bit. The owner, Garret, was very responsive in checking the mattress and we appreciated that. Garret's conclusion, however, was entirely unacceptable. He said there was no evidence of bedbugs in the mattress and my husband was likely bitten on a hike, etc. Newly hatched bed bug nymphs are tiny and can be nearly see-through, making them almost impossible to detect.
