Clarion Inn Elmira-Horseheads

Rooms-4, I had no complaints, but I've yet to be wowed into a 5 star score. Service-5 front desk went above and beyond for a request, even if it did take a day and a half, she preformed miracles. Location-5 pretty dang convenient location for where we were working this particular week.

The location was good and the overall appearance was clean. However, the walls are thin so there is a lot of noise in the room from other guests. The hotel has guest laundry but it was out of order and only had one washer and one dryer. We had laundry that needed to be done and it wasn’t available. Also, I had to wait a bit at reception to check out as it was unattended and no box available to turn in room keys. TV remote didn’t turn on the tv, carpet had an odor.

Although the location is amazing for our visits, the condition of the hotel and the rooms are disappointing and honestly unacceptable. As a professional residential and commercial housekeeper and as a paying tenant for a room here at Clarion (Water St, Elmira NY), I should not have to clean and sanitize a room I paid a couple hundred dollars for. Just by spraying a good household bathroom cleaner in the shower, watching the soap scum run off. Coming into the parking lot and having a whole sheet of thick ice. Absolutely no safe way of entering to our PAID room. Making statements and complaints IN PERSON and nothing being done. Vending machines emptied for over three months and again making statements and complaints. All we get back is, "the vendors won't come fill it". So a vendor is leavin

I agree that they should do more cleaning. There was a new person (I think) being trained when I checked in. She was very nice. The room was clean and neat. The remote was missing for the TV but that was no big deal. It was a place to stay while we were up there, and the price was not too bad.

Suture beware. Worst hotel experience I ever had. |Our room had to be changed thrice. We were given a single bed room instead of the double bed room we booked. We went to the front desk and was given a second room on the second floor at the end of the hotel. Unable to open the room door. The third room, room 120 looked like the carpet had not been vacuumed for a while. No towels. Went to the front desk to get towels. Our second night, we arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. Room was not cleaned. No towels trash left in room. At the front desk, I was told laundry was being done and someone will bring towels to our room in the morning.
