Clarion Hotel & Conference Center North Atlanta

The room was very nice, the only thing I didn’t like was how the microwave barely worked. Staff were so-so, the were helpful but also just chilled, the cleaning staff did a great job on the rooms. Another thing I didn’t like was the stairs, I was on the 3rd floor and I enjoy walks. Taking the stairs was the absolute worst, only because it smelt like someone literally peed in the corner. Also, unfortunately at the time the pool was closed. This place is honestly 50/50 but at least there’s some great restaurants nearby.

If you like no frills and little or no expectations, this is the place for you. When you pull up the place has the look of someplace that was built 30-40 years ago.The place is well kept but antiquated, and the front desk employee presented with the attitude of someone who wished he was anyplace but here. Like the lobby, the room's were outdated but neat and clean, with the exception of the tub which had traces of what could be black mold. Still, it's quiet, peaceful and has a pretty good security set-up which gives you a sense of safety. It's not a place I could get use to, but for the price and for what I needed at the time it was worth it.

This place would have received higher ratings if the elderly Indian man at the reception desk were more amiable. The rest of the staff demonstrate friendly and professional attitudes. Despite this place's previous negative reputation, it now appears to be well-maintained and pleasant. Except for the elderly Indian man at the front desk. I must acknowledge that the young Indian man compensates for the elder gentleman's unfriendly demeanor, albeit lacking in communication and customer service skills, behaving as if guests are bothersome. Therefore, I extend my gratitude to the young man. If he is your father, he could benefit from learning a few things from you. Overall, aside from Mr. Cranky pants, this place is quite satisfactory.

Worker at the front desk was extremely rude and acted as if every guest was a inconvenience. Going to the room wasn't all that great because the floors smelled like pee and the floors did not look clean at all. In the bedroom, there is mold on the ceiling, a weird smell, and blood on the floor. There is a chair in the rooms that a recommend no one to sit on as it looked like there was bio material on the chair. I recommend either staying somewhere else or bringing Lysol and Ferbeze to kill germs and get rid of the smell if you have to stay here.

The hotel is about what you expect for the price. While the rooms definitely could be much better, I've seen way worse at this price point. The sheets were clean and the location was safe and secure. That's about as much as you can ask for the price. I did deduct a star as amenities listed were not all included (card key didn't work for the gym?), And the vending machine seemed to work only half the time. Would definitely stay again if I need a budget hotel.
