Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort

**1-Star Review – Do Not Stay Here** Our experience at Clarion Hotel was bad from start to finish. First, we were charged twice for our booking, which was extremely frustrating to deal with. The front desk staff was not knowledgeable and couldn’t answer basic questions about the Choice Hotels rewards program — despite there being a large sign at the counter encouraging guests to ask about it. The cocktail lounge was closed on Tuesday night during our stay, yet there was nothing in the hotel brochure or materials indicating that limited schedule. Parking was also misleading — they were not upfront about parking fees or that we would be subject to separate LAZ Parking charges. It is a very nice property. The rooms were very good and we recieved outstanding service from the staff. We did not know that you had to schedule room service but, when we did, it worked very well. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced. The property is the closest to the Disney park and ride. Parking on the property and walking to the bus stop was well worth it. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we will be returning in the future.

The staff was great and the hotel was clean and a good value for the price. BUT, we had something I consider unacceptable and it would make me hesitate to recommend this to any family. We got a room with two double beds and a pullout bed and the pullout bed was completely unusable. It was the thinnest of mattresses draped right onto the frame with little to support it. it was impossible to lie on it without several of the bars from the frame digging into you. We could not use it and ended up having to squeeze extra people onto the double bed. And the double bed isn't even as wide as a standard double bed. We have always stayed right across from Disneyland when we come with the kids. But, wanted to do something different for our anniversary trip. - The walk to the Toy story bus is next to nothing. And the pre security line is fabulous! - The staff was very friendly. They even upgraded us for our anniversary! ♥️ - The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. It did need a little updating. But, it was clean so that, to me, is more important. - I was excited that the pool was heated....I would call it cold bath water. And there was no hot tub. I'm sure I'm the summer that's not an issue though. -Room service was really good. -No free on the go breakfast for park days was kind of a bummer. We didn't try out the breakfast buffet. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This hotel has so much potential to be good but not only is it super outdated and dirty, but they WILL CHARGE YOU TWICE!! The bed was making me itchy all night not sure if they have bed bugs and the pillows are super uncomfortable, unless you are not planning on sleeping then it might be fine. They have a safe that apparently if you use it they will charge you. The hotel has a smell like if they sprayed a nasty fabreze. Parking is only valid until 3pm because it turns into a public parking. Would never stay there again.
