While the rooms are clean, they are extremely small. The bed occupies about one third of the entire space. The linens are of good quality and comfortable. The room is not suitable for inviting friends over (unless they will be joining you in bed) since the only options for sitting are a small desk chair and a footstool. The hotel only provides 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, which under normal circumstances may be sufficient for most, but I found myself immediately needing more in order to mop up all the water that spills out of the shower. My biggest issue is the noise during the daytime. If you plan on working from your room or just prefer the quiet, you will have a problem here. Between 9am and 5pm, there is NON-STOP slamming of doors by the housekeeping staff going back and forth from

This hotel reminds me a lot of Tune hotels in Malaysia. Very basic facilities in a very small room. Many functions are controlled by an iPad, but you can use switches on the wall to do the same if you’re old school. My automatic curtain wasn’t working so my city view was obscured. The hotel is “hip” - you check yourself in using a machine and once you’re settled, you can return to the lobby for some human contact at the bar.The tariff was horrendous but the location was great and the bed was clean and comfortable.

This rating completely surprised me. I don’t like to stay in this part of town and typically don’t choose this type of hotel but the location worked for where I needed to be and overall I was very pleasantly surprised. Rooms are small but extremely well appointed. You have everything you need, including a mini fridge and quite generous closet space. The only drawback and it can be a big one, if two people are staying in a room, the beds are up against the back wall so one person needs to climb in and out. Not ideal for sure and if staying multiple nights might br an issue but for one night manageable. Im thinking this is a new addition to the Marriott group. The collaboration space is lovely and check in is somewhat automated but easy. Bathroom is very small but functional and the show

Incredible hotel. This was my third stay here and I will not hesitate to book again. Excellent location. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. They have blackout blinds and you can easily control the lighting, heating, etc from an iPad. The waterfall showers are also wonderful. Can't recommend enough!

If you're in New York on a budget and travelling solo, or as a couple for a short trip - the citizenM is an ideal choice. However our experience for a week was average at best, and we were disappointed with the hotel despite the number of positive reviews. The room was never cleaned professionally, just the bed made, and the towels changed. It was obvious where crumbs were left or marks from our shoes from during the day, as well as the bed not being clean after several days. Despite marking that we needed a full clean on the iPad, not one clean was done properly. After a long day in the city, we had to keep asking reception to send someone to clean the room. Good luck also getting the iPad to work properly. Despite the room being high-tech, we could never get the TV to work and found th
