Chelsea Savoy Hotel

The room was very large and clean and thoroughly serviced every day. The staff was genuinely friendly and when the heating in our room broke we were immediately given a new room without any hassle which we really appreciated. The hotel is well located directly on W 23rd Street making it easy to get around the city. Our room faced the inner courtyard. Not a great view but we were mostly there just to sleep so it wasn’t a big issue. The breakfast however was disappointing. Bagels and muffins were okay but that’s about it. Everything is served on paper plates with flimsy plastic cutlery that’s barely usable. The coffee was acceptable but overall the breakfast felt rather basic. In the end we preferred to have breakfast outside the hotel. That said the price was significantly lower than ot

Absolutely loved this hotel! Beautiful inside with lots of really interesting touches. A truly classic hotel with classic and fun decor. We had a fantastic breakfast in the morning and enjoyed cocktails in the relaxed and cool bar in the evening. Great view of the Empire State Building from the rooftop (which is where the exercise room is as well). They also upgraded us to a one-bedroom suite (with a balcony and soaking tub!) for our anniversary and also sent up a gift which was a lovely and unexpected touch! All-around great vibes for a truly special visit! We will definitely stay again!

Great place managed by great people. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for an affordable hotel in New York City and always spotless. The cleaning staff were on top of everything 24/7. The hotel’s location is a major plus—conveniently close to many sights, subways and attractions, making it easy to explore the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Room is great, slightly dated but clean, comfortable, and (by NYC standards) quite large! Appreciated the mini fridge in the room, it’s useful for storing cold drinks. The staff were warm and polite, and helped me extend my stay a night.

The rooms are large and comfortable. Great value close to Penn Station / midtown. The complimentary breakfast is just muffins and bagels, though a nice perk at this price point. The beds are firm. Nice views from street side rooms. Generally quiet, subway is a very short walk away. Check in time is firm. Decor is a bit dated, but rooms are clean. Staff is friendly.
