I hesitate to rate this place 5 stars only because I selfishly want to gate keep this amazing little inn. The staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and communicative. I stayed here for over two weeks while in between apartment sublets and working in the neighborhood. The location is phenomenal, right next to 14th/8th subway and in the heart of Chelsea / West Village. I had the quadruple room with two double beds. The beds were so comfortable and the walls around my room were thick and protected, I have never gotten better sleep anywhere in a NYC hotel than this one. Shoutout to James, Dwayne, Jose and the manager Susanna for their continued positive assistance and care.
If your on a budget this place is worth it for sure. Here are the pros. Great location very close to the village and everything you want in Manhattan. The check in process and checkout out process is very organized and the staff are all friendly and great. The shower surprised me in how nice it was. A better shower here than I have had at much more expensive hotels in NYC. The room was also very clean and enough space for what you need. The cons: the noise the first night was pretty loud, it could have just been because the people above us were being rude and rowdy at 2-4am but it was difficult to sleep with that. The second night it was quiet. It was also very hot in the room, we had to bring out the fan at night. Also the bed is pretty small but we made it work. For what you are paying s
We recently stayed here for 5 nights. It’s a very old building but our room was clean, warm and the beds really comfy. The rooms were big by New York standards. There is a kitchenette/Dining room you can make your self a drink or eat your food you’ve brought. It was surprisingly quiet. Really close to an underground station and Chelsea Market. The one thing you need to keep in mind is that there is no lift. After a days walking around the city it was hard to walk up the stairs but the staff are happy to take your luggage up and down on arrival and departure. Price was ok by New York standards too
I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was super nice. The rooms were very clean. I loved the use of the kitchen and the courtyard. The beds were extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby. And the location was ideal. Close to Racket NYC and we had our pick of places to eat. Will definitely be returning.
The Chelsea Pines Inn had everything we needed for our two day Manhattan getaway. The location was perfect for the venues we were visiting. The room was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere and movie themed decor is unique. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We have already recommended the Chelsea Pines to several friends, and we definitely plan on returning. |Dan and Kathleen Tappen
