Chateau Westport Resort

A quiet location with kitchenette rooms that suit our needs. The attraction for our family is the indoor pool. However, this time it was on the chilly side...literally. Call it refreshing if you will. It would have been nice to know ahead that they had just refilled it and it wasn't up to temp yet. Sigh. The location is a close, nigh on 10 minute walk to the beach which is always nice. The rooms are clean and the location is quiet, even for NYE.

I have stayed in two different rooms at two different times in the past month (the off-off-off season here). I live locally and am having work done in my house. So occasionally I need to stay elsewhere. I'll start with the good. The rooms are clean. The lobby is clean. I find the beds comfortable. If you get a room with sliding doors and access to outside via that way, it's a very big plus. The grounds are tended and pleasant to look at. The TV lets you sign into your Netflix account and possibly other streaming accounts. Those are the positive things I can say. I did not originally intend to write any kind of review, because this is not a vacation stay, and I would settle for basic amenity and getting a good night's sleep. This resort is awesome. It has a indoor heated pool and a game room. It has a full frisbee golf course. A 5 minute walk you are on the beach. The only downside was the location. I don't drive and this resort has nowhere near that serves food. Also the bus stop is a mile away walking takes 20 minutes but the gray harbor transit will pick you up on weekdays. This place is definitely worth it for the price. I will be back with a friend with a vehicle. I would highly recommend it

Took a solo ride to Westport that should’ve been just a day trip, but my motorcycle left me stranded for the night. I was able to get a room here very last minute. 4th floor has a beautiful view & it’s just a short walk to the beach. Great customer service. I was able to get snacks at the front desk. There’s no A/C, but plenty of fans were available in the room. Room was clean & I was safe for the night.

Nice hotel for the price and location. Very friendly people! The bed was very comfortable.|We stayed at this hotel the second week of Aug., it was a really warm day and the room does not have air conditioning. Since we were on the 4th floor, the windows wouldn't open more than a few inches so the room was hot. That said, there were 3 fans in the room and we were able to sleep comfortably.
