Ocean Avenue Inn

I was very hoppy staying at ocean avenue inn. Very clean room and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hosts were friendly.

We recently stayed in the Cottage, and felt like we were in a home away from home. This is an older place but very clean and well stocked in bathrooms and full sized kitchen. Beds were comfortable as well. The staff was incredibly accommodating, kind and helpful. The wifi was great. We will be back!!!

Wow. Arrived to a room that was absolutely appalling. The building looked like a shed. There were 4 beds...1 full and 3 cots that are 2 feet off the ground. The bathroom was dank, the hot water heater and pipes exposed, and the smell of air freshener was so strong it was definitely there to cover up another odor. We did not stay. Notified the motel, who said they understood and didn't understand why the owner would put us there but had other "cute" rooms. Yes, why did I get put in the "shed" when nicer rooms were available? I pre booked ahead online, and that's what I received?! There are much better places to go - like across the street as the Ocean Ave Inn manager recommended!!

The room was nothing like the picture shown. The beds were broken down. Curtains didn't cover the windows and sagging. The coffee maker didn't work and the stove wouldn't get hot enough to boil water. The bathroom floor was filthy. Enough towels for 2 people and we reserved for 4 people. We had ants crawling around on the kitchen counter. Very poorly kept up and maintained. Some kitchen pans that were used to death. We will never stay here again. Plan to leave early because can't do it another night and doubt we get a refund.

The good: were able to get a place with 3 separate bedrooms each with a bathroom along with a separate one with a shower. It also came with a small living room and kitchen. |The bad: my twin bed(s) were hard with very hard pillows; the whole place seemed not to have any heat at all!
