Chambers Hotel Central Park South, Sonder

Starting off with the good the location is excellent. Very convenient and plenty of places to eat at nearby. The aesthetic is also nice but that's were my enjoyment ends. The bed is incredibly stiff here with pillows that have no support. The AC is in need of maintenance as every time it starts up it's incredibly loud. We had no hot water our first night so it was speedy ice cold shower after an exhausting travel day. On the topic of the shower it's one of those single glass pane styles so plenty of water ends up all over the floor outside of the shower. We also had our sheets replaced one day with a stained set which service took two days to replace despite making a request for a new set. All in all not a 4 star experience and did not command the price tag. Probably won't do a sonder loca

Our experience during this stay was truly outstanding. The room was exactly as shown and described in the photos, and it was the perfect size for two people. The mezzanine offered a trendy yet cozy atmosphere unique to the hotel, and it was very convenient that amenities and beverages could be refilled. In particular, the manager, Keith, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. His friendly and accommodating attitude made a lasting impression — we will not forget his kindness!

What a phenomenal location and quality room product. I loved this property and will return. Front desk was very warm and welcoming and got me into a room as quickly as possible. Loved the shower in the guest room - very strong and good bath products. Comfortable bed. Genuinely enjoyed the stay.

The room and bathroom were clean. The shower was wonderful except that the water would splash and get the area in front of the toilet very wet. The shower didn't have a door, and the shower mat wasn't enough. 2nd night was extremely loud in the hallway. Later, I realized that the cleaning crew was using one of the rooms as a room to rest and take naps. The front desk said that was not the case, but that was not what I witnessed. I was super disappointed by that. The cafe downstairs doesn't open till 11 am on Sundays. It was another turn off. When traveling, Sunday is not much different than other days, and you need your coffee when you wake up. Yes, the room had coffee, but that was not what I consider morning coffee. This really was a great location for our four night stay in New York. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 with room not just for the cases but also cupboard / wardrobe space to unpack a little and feel at home. |We were a bit nervous about our two older kids sharing the sofa bed but it was really spacious and they found it really comfortable. The king bed was fab! The second toilet and terrace were the icing on the cake. ||The staff that helped us were genuinely lovely - some of the nicest people we met in NYC. Unfortunately I only remember Sarah's name but there were 2 or 3 others who were super friendly and kind. |We had a maintenance issue which was quickly resolved. |The facilities available on the mezzanine make it a really convenient spot. Loved it here!
