Central Park Studios

We stayed there in September. The thing I can say about this hostel is that, it is extremely dirty. There are walking bugs everywhere and also you can see dead bugs on the floor all the time. The building smells bad. We paid 45 dollars per night-per person and this is the cheapest you can get in Nyc. The neighborhood is considered okay, we didn't have any bad situations and the hostel is on subway line 6 - 3 minutes walking distance from 103th street station. There is also a bus available to go to downtown just like line 6. ||The owners are father and daughter. The father was rude, he kept knocking the door in the morning claiming that we didn't pay the money even tough we paid. However, the daughter Sabrina was very helpful. Well, if yr new in town and its rules, u should know that the owner is.. well deep downstairs, nobody tells you about it when you book it. So u get to find him. |Anyways, it was a nice man and looked like he was care about.|For the place. It has 3 front doors, guess the inner is same.|... It smells with oldy and dirt. Not in the way u can cape, but just for a knowledge. 3 floors, each have a bathroom combined, on the 3rd u have kitchen with some supplies like microwave and toster. Rooms has quite enough space even for two for that price. Wi-Fi is good when u out of yr room on 3rd and lower. Lower is much better.|Oh, and cleaning... No such a thing. I came to not cleaned apartment at all. After a 9 days (coincidence with new clients) it was cleaned with the smell of bleach.|The showerS are

Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff. Santos, Sabrina and Linda have been brilliant. Very close to subway and central park. Lots of shops, take aways, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. We stayed in suite 2A with fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, bathroom with shower. Big double bed and TV. Couldn't have needed more. Highly recommended :)

Have stayed here for 10 days. The owners- great people, friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic, which is what you'd expect for such a price in NYC, as everything, and by that I mean EVERYTHING is so expensive. Also, it's a hostel so, obviously it is simple, yet knowing you're in NYC, why would you spend a lot of time in a room, when you have the whole city to explore??|Central Park is 10minutes walk away, the tube station is 5minutes distance. You can reach the city in 15 minutes or less, depending where you want to go. |The neighbourhood might look a little rough at first, but it's simply many different people living their day-to-day lifes with schools and nurseries around, many supermarkets. Nobody enters the rooms without your permission, which is great if you're worried about

If you can't stand sharing bathroom with a bunch of bugs of mixed kind (at least 3 cockroach confirmed) - stay away!||If you, like me, could cope with this and not having your room or common area cleaned for at least 7 days, then the low price an proximity to central Manhattan is factors to take into consideration.||I stayed there for 7 days and nerver saw anyone cleaning anything. The same hair and 'spots' in the shower and bathroom floor was present upon arrival and departure. It was all in all really dirty I must say, and I'm used to staying at hostels all around Europe (first time in US I should add). It was close and the price was good. The staff / old man was friendly and gave me a warm welcome upon arrival. However, I never saw him or anyone else from from the staff onced checked in
