Cast-a-Way Cabins

I actually found this place on Facebook, so I was a little nervous that it wouldn't be as nice as the pictures. It was actually way better! The pictures don't do it justice. We had an absolute blast here. The kitchen had everything we needed for a weekend of fun. The beds were comfortable, and there was this great loft area for hanging out. We used the hot tub and the bonfire. It was a very short gorgeous walk to the river which was breathtaking. There is a really cute brewery in town that we visited (Hawksbill), and if you are Moose members, they made an amazing full twelve inch cheese steak for nine bucks!! We hit up a gorgeous winery on our way home. It was super close to the cabin I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy p

We rented the "Reel it in" cabin for the weekend with another couple and our teenage kids. The hosts are extremely easy to work with for reservations and answering questions. The cabin is very clean and comfortable and a short walk to the river. Not much "beach" front on the river but we found a spot to set up chairs and fish....and stayed out there all day Saturday. Caught many small mouth bass! Very peaceful and quiet location. Fire pit was used each night, as was the grill (think public park grill.) We cooked all meals on site. Only wish I could see the river from the cabin but you probably can in the winter. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs (which I do) as you can hear every little noise in the cabin. Cast-a-Way cabin is well off the beaten path is ideal for the quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Two queen-bed size rooms, single bathroom, loft with DirecTV, gas fireplace, kitchen, covered & non-covered deck, 4-person hot tub and amazing views. VERY quiet.||||Drive to the cabin was a slight adventure but well worth the trip. From downtown Luray it was about 20-25 minutes of two-way traffic (barely any other cars though). Last 1.5 miles was on gravel road.
