Carriage House Fredericksburg

The Carriage House Fredericksburg surpassed my expectations! It has rich history, a “historic home” personality, luxurious decor and bedding while also offering feels-like-home comfort!! The equestrian decor is absolutely stunning. Our hosts, the Wahrmund’s, were incredibly warm and helpful. Their restaurant and winery recommendations were top notch. We walked to dinner and shopping. That was such a bonus! Not only did it feel great to go for a nice walk after dinner, but there were no worries with driving home if you wanted a second or third glass of wine. Highly recommend the Carriage House!!

Stayed in the carriage house over the weekend with friends for a girls trip. This house is stunning, spotless, and so homey! It is in the perfect location for shopping and wineries. This home truly was the highlight of our trip! Can’t recommend it enough!

This house is amazing! Melanie has really worked hard to make it comfortable, inviting, cozy, and chic! Our group of seven women thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was only a few blocks from Main Street, so we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. The beds were so comfortable and the linens were very luxurious! I will definitely return and recommend the Carriage House to my friends and family.

What a perfect location for my cousin & I to stay at for our girl's only weekend. It's close enough to Main St., but the neighborhood was quiet with not a lot of traffic. We booked the Cottage House & it was like stepping back in time to a quaint English cottage (hence the name.) The decor was perfectly themed with an overstuffed sofa & humongous bed. We also lucked out with perfect weather to be able to enjoy the evening on the outside courtyard. Several other reviewers had issues, but we had no complaints with lack of interaction with the owners. Then again we didn't expect to. Nor did we have complaints about the high bed since the website clearly showed this & the step stools were provided. This was by far the cutest, most comfortable place we have ever stayed in!! Impeccably decorated in French country blue and white with a little yellow!! One big room that included a huge comfy bed, a large sofa, a kitchenette with a Keurig, a microwave, a mini fridge, a toaster,,, all one could need for a few nights!! So close to Main Street, a muffin shop and a pie shop with pies to die for!! Melanie, you are awesome!! We loved our place!!
