Carolina Lodge

Room was dirty and bathroom was nasty. Didn't even look like it had been cleaned, bed sheets were dirty looking. Towels were just as dirty looking. Took three trips to office just to get key to work in the door. I ended up having to change hotels all together, when I asked if I could get a refund because I had decided not to stay, management immediately said no. I had not even been in the room 10 minutes.... I paid $75+ for NOTHING... There were obvious signs the room had been previously occupied. I wouldn't even allow my child to enter the room. I recommend NOT staying at this hotel. Customer service and cleanliness needs serious attention and improvement.

We were traveling south and just needed a room to catch a few hours of sleep before moving on. Granted it was inexpensive but we definitely got what we paid for! Opened the room door only to see bugs scurrying. The refrigerator did not work (more bugs). The ice machine hasn't worked for years. Asked for a smoke free room only to find cigarette butts and a booze bottle behind night stand! We slept on top of the bed in our clothes. The management couldn't believe we were unhappy with the room. What a dump! Do not stay here!

No phone in the room. Wi-Fi didn't work. Formica around the bathroom sink had a big crack in it. Bathtub and shower were disgusting. 2 double beds. 1 was so soft and saggy you couldn't sleep in it. Microwave was dirty. The carpet had stains. The mirror was dirty. The ad for this place said all newly remodeled. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed at.

The fire alarm battery slot is wide open with no batteries in it, there is no guest WiFi access, the fridge is no where near cold and the manager asked if I would feel comfortable leaving my 5 year old daughter alone in the room because he had security cameras. Really? The only positive note is the room seemed clean. Overall, mostly because of how uncomfortable the manager made me feel, I'd never stay here again.

I am going to half to say that this is a really adorable room. And clean. The lady was real nice who checked us in. It was kinda funny when we walked in the office, immediately a man yells hold on a min I am on my way. Then the lady walks in and helped us. So service with a smile. And the rooms are really comfortable. And the rates are the best around. So to the owners thank you for your hospitality.
