Candlewood Suites Pittston by IHG

We had a very nice stay overall. The hotel is very modern, clean, and well maintained. The full-size kitchen was a great feature, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One unexpected perk was the free laundry, which was really convenient. The location could be a pro or a con depending on your preferences. It’s very convenient, right near the highway, Walmart, and several fast food options, but it can be a bit noisy because of that. It wasn’t a major issue for me—I just used a sound machine app and it was fine. We did have a little trouble with the address in GPS, as it kept directing us about half a mile down the road instead of to the hotel entrance. DoorDash also had trouble recognizing the address. This is an unexpected level of quality for their usual lower end (still nice but part of their budget brand) hotel. Everything was new or well taken care of or both. Could find nothing wrong with the room or the facility. Fixtures, furniture, decor, cleanliness, comfort level, service level, appliances, amenities all top level. Absolutely nothing I could criticize and I travel A LOT. And I stay with IHG exclusively. They did a fantastic job with this one!

Initially the first room checked into smelled of strong cleaner and like the bathroom had been smoked in. The front desk was very helpful and quick to get me a new room without issues! The room was quite a modern design, very clean, and very spacious. Kitchen design was nice and fully loaded. Heating/AC systems worked great and bed and pillows were super comfy. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend, also was a great option budget wise. I travel overnight quite a bit for work and this was one of the nicest stays I've ever had for the price point.

Had to have somewhere to sleep while my power was out for 2 nights, and both rooms were very nice, clean, comfy bed, wish I didn’t have to work those days so I could enjoy it a bit more but I’m sure I’ll be back one day. Only reason why it’s not a 5/5 is because the parking situation wasn’t great, and not plowed very well. Might be fine without snow.

We Stayed 5 nights over this Thanksgiving holiday visiting family. This was our first time staying at a candlewood suites and was very pleased with it. The room was spacious enough for the two of us. Nice kitchen area with full size fridge, dishwasher and stove top along with enough silverware and dishes for two people. The bed was comfortable, Bathroom nice and dove shampoo which was a nice touch also. My only drawbacks that I didn't care for were: 1. No overhang when you pull in to check in, it was raining out and getting luggage out of car to put on luggage rack we got a little wet. No morning continental breakfast but they did offer a 5.00 charge for a breakfast muffin, oatmeal, granola bar and water which was reasonable plus they also had other, things you could buy for your room.
