Candlewood Suites New York City- Times Square by IHG

Chose this hotel for the kitchenette since we wanted to be able to make breakfast and cook meals. The kitchen was fully equipped, cookingware in good condition and two of each serving item. Dishwasher was a great bonus, as well as the strong fan above the stove. The queen size bed was comfy with good pillows, and the duvet highly appreciated. AC-unit heated the room satisfactory. However, every night around midnight there was foot traffic to/from the Housekeeping room opposite of our door, and no consideration made on noise levels, which disrupted sleep. The property has two elevators, one was out of service during the whole stay (6n), and the other broke down on our second evening which forced us to walk the 28 floors up due to the service window. Excellent place for someone on a budget. As an essential worker, I was stranded in Manhattan during the blizzard of Feb 2026. I was able to find this within my budget, and the room was roomy, had a FULL kitchen (which you don’t see many of that anymore, especially in Manhattan) and a little convenience section on the lobby to buy snacks and microwave food. That said, there were only two issues, the first being one of the elevators was down casing a somewhat long wait for the other one (not more then 5 min) and the WiFi wouldn’t connect. Other than that, I still give this place 5 stars and definitely recommend it to other travelers!

This hotel is one of the better values in midtown. The size of the room is above average for the price point. The kitchenette is a nice bonus. Good WiFi, helpful staff. The bed was comfortable. Convenient and relatively quiet location. There were complimentary snacks (muffins, cookies) and beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, lemonade) in the lobby. Fitness room in basement - it’s rather small, but fine (complimentary bottled water available).

The hotel is in a great location and only a 7 minutes walking distance to my training location. Cleaning was well done the first few days and the 3 other days they wre coming in so late in the evening after I had returned from my training. The air conditioning in the room is quote noisy and disturbs sleep most times.The location is great and staff friendly.

I loved my stay here! I am a single female traveler and I felt very safe here. The staff was so nice and the location was perfect, right next to Times Square! My room was nice and clean and the kitchenette was a great add-on. The rooms are spacious, so you do not feel cramped. I plan on staying here again when I come back with some friends in the fall.
