Candlewood Suites New Braunfels by IHG

My wife and I were in town for a wedding. We arrived a bit early for check-in, and Tasha took amazing care of us, expediting our room cleaning so that we could check in. Not only that, but the welcoming attitudes and great caretaking persisted throughout our stay there. Tasha and Kristen both were amazing. Aside from that, I was very pleased with the room and the cleanliness of the property. The location is great, just minutes away from a number of restaurants. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in the New Braunfels area, and would certainly return there myself in the future.

Absolutely horrible hotel! Checked in on Friday night around 12:00. Left early morning and came back around lunch time. Checked in the cabinets and found 2 used needles and a used condom that had been there for God knows how long. Hotel general manager tells me the best they can do is offer 20% off because we didn’t find the drugs and condom until Saturday! This place needs to be shutdown

Nice hotel with everything that a person could need. Our rooms did not have carpet which I found to be a positive thing. Only thing that I did not like was that the toilet was super low to the floor. Had a full size refrigerator in the room . The price was very reasonable. I have definitely paid more for rooms that were old and did not feel clean. When staying in the area next time, I will definitely stay here again.

We originally got a room at the Microtel in NB and we woke up in the morning to roaches, I called Candlewood to see if we could get in early because we had our dog with us and my sons baby shower was at 1pm. Tasha at the front desk was just the sweetest person ever, she reassured me that she would have the room together by noon and we could check in early. When we got there check in was easy, Tasha checked on us the whole weekend when we came downstairs. The rooms are clean and spacious, pet friendly, and the staff is amazing! We ended up staying an extra night because of the weather. We will ne staying here from now on when we are in NB. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Checked in Christmas Day in 2025. Not sure who was working the front desk, but she was absolutely amazing. I got sick and needed somewhere to go so I didn’t get the family sick . The individual checking me in was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working on Christmas Day. Kind of made my day. So positive and welcoming. Truly appreciated!
