Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Airport by IHG

Accept ONLY "renovated" rooms on top floors. This hotel never cleans public hallways and is using construction as an excuse to clean even less than usual. Their renovation is painting over aged cabinets and not replacing rusted appliances or pots/silverware. Suites have no AC in bedrooms so door must remain open (if traveling with more than 2 people, living rm sleepers freeze while bedroom sleepers sweat).

I stayed at this hotel from 12/31/25-02/17/26 and the staff is Wonderful. Payed out of pocket while transitioning to a different way of living. The manager Shay and Front desk worker Mariah including other staff really worked with me concerning cost etc. The hotel is in process of upgrading so at times that could pose challenges, but any issue that could not be resolved right way was handled by providing other reasonable options. The only complaint I would have is that it takes forever for the water to get hot, however it doesn't take from the experience. I would definitely stay there again!!!

The GM of the property is the most unprofessional out of all of them. Waiting in line at the desk watching her handle the MANY complaints of other guests was hard to watch. The rooms are terrible. Some have cable. Some don’t. The desk staff is super helpful. Josh made sure to find us a room that we would be comfortable staying in and went above and beyond for us. If Josh hadn’t helped us we would’ve went elsewhere. You can hear everyone laughing and playing around in the hall office during the day but you don’t hear or see anyone cleaning the common areas of the hotel. If you remove the pillow case and cover the pillows are piss stained yellow. As well as the duvet. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The public parts of the hotel were well kept and nice. The room was clean. The desk/table and chairs were pretty good and no complaints about the tv or other amenities of the room. The bathroom wasn’t good. I don’t know if the shower curtain was installed incorrectly or broken, but the shower curtain kept wanting to open on its own. The shower was noisy and sounded like a washing machine spin cycle while running. Water pressure was almost non-existent and the water temp barely got above just warm. The bed was not comfortable. I didn’t look but it had the feeling that a board had been put under it. Book this hotel if you have no other options. The cost/value ratio poor in my opinion and much of the room was disappointing. the young man at the front desk was the most helpful and professional employee I ever met at a hotel! There were some issues with the wifi and he reassured me that everything would be fixed shortly. Although it was an inconvenience, he helped make my experience all the better and even retrieved my towels from my room for me when I requested! He makes the brand look great. I will definitely be returning to this location
