Candlewood Suites Anaheim - Resort Area by IHG

Overall, it’s a decent hotel and absolutely fine for a 3-star property. The rooms are clean, well managed, and housekeeping does a great job — towels were changed daily even when we didn’t ask, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly, and the people around the hotel were pleasant as well. The room itself was spacious and had a good-size kitchen, which is very convenient, especially when traveling with kids. The pool area looks great too, although we didn’t get a chance to use it due to cold weather. The location is good — not super close to Disney, but about a 15-minute walk, which really isn’t a big deal. GardenWalk Mall is right around the corner, which was very convenient. We absolutely recommend this hotel, from the first day we arrived we had such a helpful front desk especially Jocelyn who was always welcoming and friendly. The maintenance and cleaning staff were also extremely helpful when asked for items, no one was hesitant to provide an answer to us. They also made it a wonderful experience for our 1 year old, giving her a special experience at our stay with a sweet gift from Jocelyn and Jose (from maintenance). We are very happy and grateful to have chosen this stay for our vacation.

Wish I could have said 2.5 stars for rooms, specifically. Rooms are a good size, but bathroom is small & furniture is largely very worn & run down. One time, there was ONE elevator for all floors of the wing of the hotel, for at least 2 days...LONG walk to get to elevator on the opposite side, with lots to carry. Stayed here a few times. The elevator incident happened once. Staff are nice; front desk have friendly people. Overall 'ok,' good for location, but needs could use refurbishment.

Room was large and very clean. Bath and kitchen areas also very clean with kitchen having all the amenities needed to cook and store food. Disneyland ART shuttle right out front. No charge for covered parking. One of the better hotels in the area (and in over 30 years of visiting Disneyland it ranks very high). Would recommend.

The candlewood suites have served me well for a few years, once a year. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are great. WiFi is strong too. Location is good whether for Disney or the Anaheim convention centre. Lots of restaurants within easy reach too.
