Camping At Horsethief Reservoir By Cascade

Campground is nice but there’s no water or anything. Make sure to bring all you need and take all your trash with you. They did have vault toilets. The host there was very nice. Sites were clean but a lot of direct sun.

It was a little smoky from nearby fires. Campground was nice no discounts for anyone $20.00 a night no hookups pit toilet no water or trash service. Fishing was good but not great. Warning 3 miles of dirt washboard road to campsite

Not our favorite campground. Lack of water supply. There is access to a dock for fishing and a ramp to launch from. Water had swimmer itch so not advisable to swim. Lots of mosquitoes and bugs. Bring big spray. Small campground with not many sites. It is first come first serve. Some trees for shade, but I would recommend to bring a canopy. Bathroom was decently clean for a campsite. Host does come around at least every morning. Dogs are allowed. There is a table and a fire pit at every campsite.

What a wonderful place to spend some time. Easy 2 hour drive from Boise. Beautiful Raptors that fish right along with you. Plus I always catch fish.

Love this place. We have stayed at a few of the campgrounds all are great; but I won't tell you my favorite. I don't want you to steal my spot. They also do get cell service if you get up high enough.
