Boundary Creek Campground

Automatic 5 stars, because you're about to launch on the Middle Fork! Some of the camp spaces are not very friendly for trailers. It is about a quarter mile from the campground to the boat ramp. The ramp gets busy in the afternoon when the commercial trips show up, so get there early or have patience. Thanks to the Selway-Bitterroot Foundation for providing funding for a Forest Service presence, since the U.S. government is not up to the task anymore.

Nice camp ground plenty of space for our rafts and gear.

Sick place to prep and launch. A fire kept us from staying the night here but we got in for our launch the next day.

Utilized mostly by river runners on the middle fork. Can be crowded during the summer months with commercial and private boaters. Firewood gathered on site or near; be sure to bring an axe or saw. Water did not flow to sites during 2016. Pit toilets consistently clean and stocked.

Great location to spend then night...especially prior to a trip down the Middle Fork. The drive in is a pretty rough ~22 miles of dirt road first. My 4-door Volvo sedan could do it but had to go slowly.
