Camp Thunderbird, Scouting America Camp

This is a great cub scout resident camp. The food and staff were all great. Well worth the drive.

We have had several scouting events at Camp Thunderbird! From patrol campouts, full troop campouts, OA ordeals, adult training and most recently NYLT! They are constantly working on improvements to the facility, trails, and sites. The scouts are always so proud of the projects they helped work on, the staff at each event and the store are very friendly and knowledgeable. Camp Thunderbird is a beautiful and enjoyable place and I love that it's close to us in Lacey so I feel much better sending my scout to event here knowing I could get her quickly if anything happened. They also have safety of scouts and staff in mind, one event there was a bad storm and they knew a head of time and got everyone indoors and set for the duration and notified leadership who was able to share information with

Great camp for our scouts! And they are always improving and adding new features! :)

I went to Camp Thunderbird for Wood Badge training (adult leadership). The facilities were nice and the staff was even nicer. It was the BEST leadership training I have had in my adult life. Be sure to have bug spray...they are by a lake.
