Camp Huaco Springs

Absolutely enjoyed our tent camping experience here! Come before it gets too crowded in the summertime- it’s still warm and the water is crispy and clear year round! The property remains trash free and employees love to see visitors enjoying their time. Things to note- BRING padding of sorts for underneath your sleeping bag if you’re not a fancy camper. It’s rocks on rocks on rocks. Bring water shoes. A lot of rocks can be slippery or sharp getting in and out of the water. Stake your tents down well as the night wind can get aggressive right on the water (but it sure helps keep cool at night!). Lastly- my only qualm is that you can’t bring your own bathroom setup and in the three days we were there, the bathrooms never were cleaned or replenished. Bring your own soap and wipes for small s

Will not stay here again. Very loud rude neighbors that party every night. Nobody cares at this place once they get your money. Bathrooms are terrible. Spaces are unlevel, tight and just graveled. This is a poor park that I would not recommend.

Ok so to put this frank and honestly I shouldn't say anything and gate keep this from you all but here it goes anyways. This place has magic all around it the location the staff the neighbors the rules everything an rv park needs to be this place is. Not only do you wake up to this beautiful river flowing you also get deer walking ducks quaking birds flying people fishing this place is what life needs to be. At night the stars come alive in the day the people keep the magic revived. At the end of the day if you never stayed here you are missing out. Check in are as easy as not even getting out of your truck pull up stop and talk to the park managers they go over rules site location and expectations. 06 March 2026 is the last day of free fishing. There are no fish here, so you’ll just be paying for disappointment and regret. The turtles are the only thing keeping this from being 1 star.

We had an amazing fall getaway at Camp Huaco Springs! We stayed in Cabin 7, which made for the perfect rustic, cozy home base during our Hill Country trip. The location along the Guadalupe River is unbeatable—peaceful, scenic, and especially enjoyable without the summer crowds. Cabin 7 is simple, rustic, and very clean, offering just what you need for a comfortable stay. It comes with a refrigerator, microwave, electric burners, a coffee maker, and a practical tile floor from the front door to the bathroom—a huge bonus for families with little ones coming in from the river in wet suits. The air conditioning worked well, keeping the cabin cool and comfortable throughout our stay.
