Pros: There is tons of stuff to do here and it’s an hour away from San Antonio. You truly need three full days to really take everything in. Bathrooms were very clean. ||Cons: Cleanliness was a huge part of not wanting to go back. I saw a toddler defecate right in front of me in a cabana and people just walk past. Staff was few and far between. Did not see anyone designated to the upkeep and cleanliness of areas at the amenities. Trash was piled up the side of pools and bars and trash cans were scarce or full. There was also a half drank beer in the mini fridge at the cabana. Truly simple things that could be fixed. The cabin was pretty clean but had issues with some rooms being so hot. Storage was an issue as well but made it work after day 2. Price was not bad for food and drinks but ver
This place is really fun in scenic and very convenient to participate in all the activities. We did the Alpine Slide and the zipline and got a golf cart. We also did mini-golf and driving around the golf carts and going up the top of the hill to the playground at the top we had lots of fun. It was very pet friendly and our dogs for the whole family had a great time all the people attending were pretty good as well. A few negatives, first off the golf carts are incredibly expensive. Almost punitively so. It cost $270 for 2 days to have a 6-person golf cart. It's completely outrageous, but the campground is large and sprawling so you definitely need them if you want to put less than 30,000 steps a day. Also they told us that the pool was going to be open and the pool was not open this was
I had the best first experience at Camp Fimfo and didn’t know what to expect when we arrived. It truly feels like the cutest little town within itself with beautiful Texas Hill Country views everywhere you look. We rode the alpine coaster and loved that you can control the speed yourself and ride as fast or slow as you want. There’s even a camera that records the whole ride which made it even more fun. We also did the Guadalupe Glider zip line and flew across the river up to 40 mph which was such an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and made everything easy and fun, even hyping us up like pros. We grabbed ice cream and food afterward and enjoyed it right by the river. With so many activities, cute places to stay, and things to do, this is definitely a place we can’t wait to com
Our favorite vacation spot for few years now!! Definitely worth the drive from Houston. The alpine coaster is great attraction for all ages. The most recent stay, we tried the elevated cabins. It was so pretty and a very hill country experience. Very safe too.
My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend. We booked it back in October, therefore, we did not know the weather was going to be freezing. We made the best of it anyway. I LOVED our little cabin and the location it was in. I can tell retired people come here in the winter. We enjoyed the quietness, emptiness, and seclusion while we were here. We had booked the Cliff Carver and zipline but it was canceled, unfortunately, due to the weather. Thankfully, we were refunded. We walked around the camp grounds every morning for exercise. The down part was the cabin could have been cleaned better, the water went off both days. Luckily it came back on when we were still there so we could take showers.
