By the Cove Vacation Suites

I was blocked from leaving a review on the booking website after complaining about the hard bed. Literally no give to the bed and felt like sleeping on the floor. The rooms are not insulated well so you can hear everything through the walls. I was in pain from the bed and the noise kept me up all night. The owners offered a refund after the first day which was nice but I could not afford to stay elsewhere and then they blocked me from leaving a review on the booking website by flagging me disgruntled even though I was going to leave them 4 stars despite the place also being dirty and having to clean the sink, coffee maker and tea kettle ourselves. This room was clean and within walking distance to the downtown shops and historic pier. The bed was comfortable, and our unit had a microwave and small fridge. I would recommend bringing a sharp knife if you have any fruit or vegetables to cut, but other silverware and plates/bowls were provided.

The room is very clean and welcoming with a great view of the water. The owners offered a complimentary bottle of wine . Really outstanding touch of class in my book . Walking distance to a fantastic seafood restaurant and small stores 😋

So, this place really is great. And honestly I think it should get a slightly higher rating, like a half point higher. There are two things that land it as a 4 star, one small one less so. The small thing, there are no curtains on the windows; 6 am is real bright, makes it hard to sleep for some people. And the big-ish one, there's no AC. Now, if you're here in nom summer months, it's really no big deal. But Lord help you if it hits 90+ and you have a notion of trying to sleep. All in all, I would stay here again. Gladly so.

Great find! Large room, huge bathroom, well appointed. Easy to deal with manager. With a dedicated parking space, it's a quick walk to restaurants and shops - and a great view to boot.
