Brenham Schoolhouse Hotel

We recently stayed in this Hotel one night out of a five night reservation. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed the room was missing the refrigerator that had been listed on the website as being present. I needed the refrigerator not for my beer but for some medication so had to make a trip to local store to get a cooler and ice right away. The second thing we noticed was the room was covered in grit from the exposed plaster and brickwork. While nice from a decor standpoint by choosing not to seal the walls they shed a constant stream of dust and grit which covered everything. The nightstands, the bed, the coffee maker and coffee cups, and the bathroom vanity. The final straw was the shower in the morning. The valve to choose between the handheld and the oddly placed chest high rain

Really disappointed in having to write this review, but had a terrible experience with a recent reservation here. We have come here before and enjoyed it so decided to book it again. 18 days prior to our reservation, we had to cancel due to an emergency, instead of approaching this with kindness and understanding, as well as knowing we cancelled with plenty of weeks for a single room, they still kept a $1,000 from my Mom. Be aware of this place and the company they use to book their rentals, NomadSTR.

Be aware of this place and the company NomadSTR that they use to service the reservations. We had to cancel with plenty of notice (18 days) and they kept the deposit for a three night stay of $1,000. Never will stay here again - there are plenty of other choices in the Brenham area.

We have had a recently bad experience with the service at Brenham Schoolhouse. Be very aware! We have been repeat customers of the hotel for a several years attending Round Top. This year, I booked the hotel and needed to cancel (18 days before the reservation and even gave the option to move to a different date) due to an emergency, they kept the entire $1,000 deposit. Absolutely horrendous. We will never stay here again!

Great experience in Brenham. I was a little confused at the beginning because when we got to the schoolhouse hotel it appeared that we were the only ones there. It was a little weird but we found out later that it was offseason. The hotel was amazing. The room we stayed in was beautiful and spacious. The entire place was clean and elegant. It had a real comforting atmosphere. The leather couches in the main area were very nice and had the place been busy it would be a great place to meet new people. We will absolutely stay there again when we go to tour wineries in the area.
