Boone County Fairgrounds Campgrounds

Kind of end of camping season so campground was pretty empty. Would have been terrible if full. Be prepared to share your fire ring with your neighbor. Only 2 picnic tables for all sites(97). Sites are small. 4 hookups on same post. Restroom was pretty clean to start the weekend, but by the end of 3 nights the waste basket was overflowing and toilet paper was out.

Me and some of my grandchildren went to the Fair to watch the Monster truck show. It was great!! My grandchildren loved it. After the show, we went to the animal barns. Overall a great time.

Didn't stay at camp ground. Attended Boone County Sportsman's Club annual gun show. Venue is nice sized with good selections. Plan to attend next year.

Started good but then...me and 3 other long term campers left because of the camp host. Horrible experience. Walks around all slandering and spreading gossip about the campers, ljke a motor mouth...They all said, they be back when the host is replaced. His raggedy horror looking bus and site looks like a garbage dump. If the host site look like a trash dump, what kind of message does this send to the paying campers? I know the business very well. I worked a district manager for 7 campgrounds in Colorado. The hosts always had to set the standards. I also helped moving several fairground campers for free, my truck got stuck.. I ended up paying $200 to get it unstuck. Didn't even get a thank you The lady in office was always nice though.

We host our annual staff banquet there every summer and it is a wonderful, clean, convenient place to host an event like this!
