Bluegreen Vacations Patrick Henry Sqr, an Ascend Collection Resort

Great stay. Just a few minutes easy walk to downtown Colonial Williamsburg so the location was perfect. The rooms were clean, updated, and had every amenity we needed. In addition there were nice touches like Crabtree & Evelyn brand soaps and shampoo. Plenty of seating and comfortable beds - what more do you need. Would definitely recommend this and would stay here again.

WARNING WARNING WARNING|Don't stay here!!!|We stayed November 7 thur 14 2025. The bed was comfortable, and the location was good. It goes downhill from there. Very basic unit, no frills. Windows were sealed and unabled to be opened. The toilets were extremely low, as though they were made for children. There were no handrails making it difficult for a 77 year old to get up. Also, there were no handrails in the shower, a large safety concern. The wifi was very slow when it worked, usually non-existent. I now see from other reviews that this is not a new issue. Management just doesn’t care.The TV pixelated constantly, making watching it impossible. I spoke with staff numerous times, and the issue was never resolved. Usually BG resorts get higher ratings from us, but this stay challenged us. Started from the initial phone before arriving to checking in. They gave us false information then acted like it never occurred. The entire weekend there was a dog just 2 doors down from us that barked everytime it heard a noise in the hallway or when the guest left the dog alone. Management was well aware but took no action to remedy. First no pet allowed policy stated on website and in welcome packet, second having just retired my Service dog after 15 years, Service dogs only bark when there is a medical problem...... and lastly you never leave your service dog unattended. This was definitely no service dog as we watched them sneak the dog in and I overheard the women tell her kids to keep him quiet as they knew

We went during Thanksgiving week. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fairly spacious. We needed extra towels and immediately received them. All the appliances worked well. No issues. My son opted for going to the lobby for his morning coffee. I finally found out why. It's. The. Best. Coffee. Ever! Even the decaf was delicious and I drink mine black! Also, my son and granddaughters loved the pool! We can't wait to go back to Patrick Henry Hotel/Resort!

Southern part of hotel has absolutely poor WIFI service. Even when you purchase the $7.95 daily HI-Speed WiFi it is NOT helpful. Staff should know this or they do not care. No complimentary coffee or breakfast at all. Staff with call your cellphone or room at random times to get you to attend a TWO HOUR time-share opportunity purchase meeting....NO THANK YOU!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
