Blue Jay Inn and Suites

Arrived late after a 13 hour drive. Multiple groups of people sitting in chairs outside, loud, smoking pot, obviously long term tenants-not there for a one night good rest before traveling on. We were tired-got to the room as quickly as we could. The room itself was dirty. Tiled area was sticky. It appeared soft drink or something was spilled at one time and dirt and grime accumulated on top of it. Wife did not want to take shoes off to even take a shower. Laid down with today’s cloths and socks on to try and sleep. Inside the room smelled of heavy smoking from previous people who stayed in room. Stains and cigarette burns in bedspread. Was too exhausted to try and find something else. Booked because of the last couple good reviews-which I now believe must have came from some of

If it wasn't almost 11pm after 12 hours driving, I would have demanded a refund and found somewhere else even if they didn't give my money back. I got the king suite for the jetted tub because I have back problems and that sounded like heaven on a long road trip. The first thing I noticed was that the toilet hadn't been cleaned properly. It had that paper wrap around the seat that tells you it's been cleaned, but there was still a little poop in the bottom that had to be flushed away. There is mildew in the seams of the tub. Little rubber stopper doesn't fit properly; if you don't fill the tub very slowly at a trickle, the splashing knocks it out of the drain. Roaches galore, they lied and said checkout was Saturday when I started 2 weeks in a new room Saturday. The bed is so noisy if your a couple and sleep light you wouldn't sleep. They also moved us upstairs when we didn't want so that the cleaning lady could move downstairs, the owner said he needed the room for handicap person lol

I am not leaving a review to be malicious in anyway. This hotel was the most disgusting hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. They need better housekeeping or it truly needs to be shut down. There was urine at the bottom of the toilet (toilet had a sanitized label on it.. and nothing about the toilet was sanitized.. the shower curtains smelled of urine, the toilet looked liked they just sprayed it with disinfect and called it a day..) there was food all over the wall, the pillowcases had brown sweat stains, looked like they hadn't changed them in a very long time. Bugs and flies everywhere!!! The carpet looked soooooo gross that I made my husband and child wear shoes.. looked like someone had puked in the corner and it was just left there.. i hope one day they find their pride in owni

My room clean and well sized, water pressure poor but quiet and away from main highway and the trucks and traffic. Nice grassy area across street for dogs to walk. No fax for business services and mediocre wifi. I'm not too fussy and I disagree with most reviews I've seen here. It's not the Ritz, not the Bates.
