Blue Beach Motel

Had the opportunity to stay at this motel on the weekend of Sept. 20th 2025. The room was very clean and well equipped with a small fridge and microwave. The staff was very kind and helpful. The area is quite and for an evening out there is an awesome microbrewery just next door as well as a State Trooper station for people that like that extra touch of safety. I am generally not a big motel fan but I have to admit that the place was really nice and I would for sure stay there again given the opportunity.

We stayed on October 6th, 2025. We stayed one night to visit wickford village. When we checked in there were zero cars in the parking lot . Eventually 2 more cars arrived for the rooms adjacent to ours. First glance, the room appeared clean.upon setting up my CPAP machine I noticed 2 very large dead flys. 1 on the nightstand and the other on the floor under the window. My wife showered while I unpacted and made reservations for dinner. I heard her scream from the shower. She had cut her big toe on a crack in the fiberglass shower floor. I wrapped it with tissue and took a bandaid from my wallet when the bleeding stopped . Accidents happen, and you would not be reading this review if not for the call from the manager two days later informing me that I was being charged for a new shower floo

I booked this motel based on 10 excellent ratings, high price ($400 per night) and the promising name "Blue Beach" which translated in my imagination to a beach front hotel. The pictures on the internet didn't reveal that this is a 'motel 6" style motel, but with no pool. When I reached the place, I was sure that got by mistake to a motel with a similar name, but the receptionist assured me that this is the place.|So, the reviews must have been written by friends and family. So, this is the most basic accommodation, which you expect to pay for accordingly. When I questioned about the price, I was told that this was very busy weekend with special prices. Next day I moved to an excellent hotel with a lower price tag.

Stayed here for our anniversary and found the room clean & updated. Plenty of parking, good location and a great brew restaurant next door. You get a 10% discount to the restaurant. We enjoyed breakfast, the coffee was nice & strong & the service fast & friendly. The king bed was very comfy, the bathroom with shower was small but very clean, the shower walls are so cool and the light/fan in the bathroom gives you an option to have a black light (purple), on our next visit I would book the king suite to have the jacuzzi tub!

Fantastic place to stay if you are visiting URI!! It is just a bit north of campus but in quiet area... it's near town of Wickford which is quaint town great for strolling and grabbing some food. Staff were great and were able to accommodate our very late check-in when we got stuck in transit. They were very friendly and always happy to help. Room is very clean and looks recently remodeled. It is a motel room so it does not have lots of fancy amenities, but has good size fridge and microwave. Plenty of space and the beds are really comfortable... better than any chain hotels by far. There is a brewery pub just in front of the motel that looks great... we had no time to visit but will catch them on our next trip. And the value is undeniable.... we will definitely be back and I would
