Bison Peak Lodge at Puma Hills

This property is absolutely stunning! It is remote, so you do need to bring everything in, but the property is amazing. We had a wedding in late September and the Aspens were absolutely glowing! The lodge is gorgeous (although it doesn't sleep very many), the cabins are nice, and the tents, tipis and domes/wagons offer an adventurous stay. The Pavilion has a rustic elegance and is beautiful (had the rehearsal dinner there), and the sailcloth tent made for a beautiful reception. We did have a number of issues with communication/planning as they went through quite a few personnel changes, but they did iron that out as we got to the end. This weekend away from it all was the most perfect setting for our retreat. The staff are so friendly and attended to our every need. The scenery speaks for itself as you wake up to the sun rising across the mountains while listening to the aspen leaves rustle in the breeze. The main lodges were the perfect spaces for our group to connect and reset our souls. I got to stay in the geodome and that was an amazing experience! Thanks Bison Peak Lodge!

I photographed a wedding a Bison Peak Lodge this past fall, and it is truly a spectacular property. The sailcloth tent is gorgeous, and the option to have all your friends and family stay on site for a "glamping" weekend is something you can't find a lot of places. However, it isn't the most well run, and my couple had a lot of issues when planning their wedding. When I arrived on site for the wedding weekend, there seemed to be no one from the venue directing anyone or even helping me find where I was staying. There seemed to be a lot of construction happening and the area around the tent wasn't kept up the nicest. Bison Peak has the opportunity to truly become a top luxury venue in Colorado, but it is just not there yet. If you are planning your wedding here, I would definitely recomme

We held our coaching retreat at Bison Peak Lodge in June 2025 and it was absolutely perfect for our event. the location is spectacular, the accommodations were excellent, and the meeting spaces were perfect for our event. To top it off, the staff as incredibly attentive to our needs from planning to connecting us to local vendors and more, We are definitely returning next year.

The location and staff are 5 stars. The geo-dome I stayed in was a memory for a lifetime and I was right in nature every night. The main lodge and pavilion are so amazing it was like out of a story book. I suggest Bison Peak to everyone.
