Bikini Hostel, Cafe & Beer Garden

I had such a great experience at this hostel, thanks largely to Eugene at the front desk! He was incredibly welcoming, informative, and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. Whether it was local recommendations, helpful tips, or just a friendly chat, Eugene’s hospitality truly made my stay better. The hostel itself was great, but it’s staff like Eugene who make all the difference. Thanks again for your kindness and professionalism—I’d definitely stay here again just because of the amazing service!

I was told by several people that Miami Beach made a deal with the bikini hostel to rent rooms to the city to shelter homeless people. What I found a little uncomfortable is that the Bikini Hostel does not warn the tourists that they have to share the rooms with people who has been in Jail and some are drug *******.When I went out I had to carry the backpack with me to the beach and everywhere I went because I was told by another person staying there to not leave anything of value in the rooms.The rooms are 5 beds with 3 levels for a total of 15 people per room. The AC did not reach the higher level so even thought the rooms were very cold on the 1st level they were very, very hot on the 3rd level.A good thing I found was the lady serving breakfast. During a recent stay at Bikini and Beers Hostel for a getaway vacation, it was very convenient. From the moment I arrived, Sammy at the desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful, The check-in process was quick and efficient, there were complimentary lockers were on site, and two meals were offered. I'd definitely stay here again. Also the room I stayed in had an efficient AC system, providing clean air, and a comfortable bed.

This once Hostel for Young tourists from all over the world was turned into a Homeless Shelter housing upwards of 100 homeless folks. The City of Miami Beach needed to place 1 Police Officer outside the now homeless shelter 24 hours a day 7 days a week on the tax payers dime. This place was eventually closed permanently and is now scheduled for demolition due to a real estate deal. The homeless were supposedly relocated to other shelters. This place is PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
