Big Spring River Camp

We just left Big Springs Campground and wanted to say it was wonderful. Kathy the owner is very friendly and helpful. The campground itself is very clean. The river is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by it last evening. She mostly has seasonals, so if you are lucky enough to get a short stay spot, count yourself incredibly blessed. Looking forward to returning sometime and taking a float down the river!

We camped along with our son & his family in 2 adjoining campsites. Cathy, the owner is so nice & does everything to make sure everyone has a good experience. We enjoyed sitting around our fire at night & watching the boats on the river gigging (season just started). We will definitely be back. I had great cell service & wifi in our campsite (25). Easy walking access to beach on river. Loved the view of the river from the campsite. We floated from here to Big River Spring State Park, about a 2 hour float, perfect with small kids.

Although we didn't actually camp overnight at BSRC, we had a great tubing experience with them. My husband & I stopped here while on our way to view the solar eclipse. We only had a few hours to spend in this area, and it didn't disappoint. First, the owner was such a fantastic lady! She was organized & knowledgeable, and really helped us feel welcome & safe. She had everything we needed for our trip, and even arranged for our pick-up via bus afterward. Also, we had the good fortune of a beautiful, warm afternoon after the start of the new school year, so there were only a few people on the river. We stayed here with our family last weekend. It was wonderful. Staff is friendly and patient and the grounds were clean, but there is not a ton of shade. The bathrooms were spotless, but SO DANG HOT. Hard to get that clean feeling when you can't dry off because you are immediately wringing wet again, but who cares when you are most likely just going to wander back down to the river anyway...We would definitely stay here again. It is a great location and on the weekend we were there, very family friendly. We can't wait to do it again!

We just returned home from a short trip to current river. We camped in our truck camper for one night-I wish we had more time! This campground was extremely clean and nice. Bathrooms/showers were phenomenal. The owners were some of the nicest people we have met. Very family and pet friendly. We will definitely be back very soon.
